What MaxSense AR Was Facing
MaxSense's AR try-on feature had impressive technology but a 73% abandonment rate before users reached the try-on step. Funnel analysis combined with exit-intent interviews identified two barriers: users did not trust that the AR rendering would be accurate, and the onboarding flow required camera permissions before communicating any value proposition.
The Solution
What We Built
We ran a series of A/B research sprints — testing eight variations of the pre-try-on trust sequence — and designed a revised IA that led with social proof and sample renders before requesting device access. The interaction design was refined through 30 moderated sessions to ensure the AR overlay felt immediate and responsive, reducing the gap between action and feedback.
