What Armax Was Facing
Armax's asset management platform supported mission-critical infrastructure requiring 99.8% uptime, but maintenance engineers reported that the interface forced them to cross-reference three separate screens before making a go/no-go decision on planned interventions. Cognitive load analysis showed the current IA created dangerous decision fatigue during high-pressure maintenance windows.
The Solution
What We Built
We embedded with maintenance teams across two operational sites and conducted task analysis on 30 real-world intervention scenarios. The findings drove a consolidated decision-support view that surfaced asset health history, current alerts, and recommended actions in a single screen. The design system was built to WCAG AA and stress-tested under low-light conditions typical of industrial environments.
